Pregnancy Protections Not Moving Forward

Concord, NH – Today, Governor Chris Sununu issued the following statement afte.r Senate Democrats chose not to move forward with Pregnancy Protections in the workplace – a priority piece of legislation Governor Chris Sununu mentioned in his 2020 State of the State Address.

“Senate Democrats chose to spend time today moving forward with their partisan agenda while simultaneously killing important, bipartisan legislation like student debt relief and pregnancy protections in the workplace,” said Governor Chris Sununu.

“Instead of rolling up their sleeves and passing bills that were in the best interests of students and expectant moms, the Democrats chose to play politics in what can only be described as an election year headline-grabbing political stunt.”
