Governor Sununu Tours Alternative Sales Corporation in Kingston

Concord, NH - Today, Governor Chris Sununu toured Alternative Sales Corporation, a family-run small business with 30 employees in Kingston, New Hampshire, to highlight the detrimental impacts of the current legislative budget proposal that is not balanced and would raise taxes on New Hampshire job creators.

"All of us at Alternative Sales Corp would like to thank Governor Sununu for stopping by today to listen to our concerns with raising taxes on New Hampshire's small businesses," said Moira Bashaw, of Alternative Sales Corp. "As a family-run business based in New Hampshire every little bit helps our bottom line, and if our taxes are raised, that will prevent us from hiring more employees and re-investing in our company, including possible expansion."

"Small businesses are the backbone of our economy and the jobs engine of our state," said Governor Chris Sununu. "In the midst of a record quarter-billion dollar surplus, the last thing state officials should be doing is raising taxes. I would like to thank Moira and everyone at Alternative Sales Corporation for sharing their New Hampshire success story with me today, and what is at stake if taxes are raised."
