Governor Sununu Statements on Various House Votes

Concord, NH - Today, Governor Chris Sununu issued the following statements pertaining to various House votes:

Senate Bill 257: prohibiting foams containing perfluoroalkyl chemicals for use in fighting fires

"Ensuring that New Hampshire has clean water has been a major focus of my administration and I am pleased to see that yet another decisive step has been taken to ensure that products containing PFAS chemicals do not enter our water and jeopardize public health in New Hampshire. I applaud the legislature for taking further action to ensure our water is safe."

Senate Bill 193: prohibiting the sale of certain furniture and carpeting with flame retardant chemicals

"This important legislation protects our firefighters and the public from being exposed to cancer-causing chemicals during a fire. This legislation will help provide New Hampshire's courageous first responders and their families with the protections they need and the peace of mind they deserve."
