Governor Sununu Statement on SB 747

Concord, NH – Today, Governor Chris Sununu issued the following statement regarding SB 747, authorizing the New Hampshire Department of Education to accept and expend certain federal funds for the purpose of increasing, expanding, or replicating the number of charter schools in the state:

"This game-changing grant will help countless students across the state achieve success in the school that fits their educational path," said Governor Chris Sununu. "There are over 1,300 New Hampshire students on waiting lists to get into public charter schools, and it is on us to open these doors of opportunity for them. I hope the Democrats that previously shut down this grant opportunity listen to the families that are impacted and put kids above special interests."
