Governor Sununu Statement on March Unemployment Data, Continuation of Record-Setting Jobs Numbers

Concord, NH - Today, following the release of the March 2019 jobs report by New Hampshire Employment Security, which shows New Hampshire's unemployment rate has remained steady at 2.4 percent, Governor Sununu issued the following statement:

"Not since 1988 has New Hampshire seen such a record-setting streak of monthly unemployment rates at or below 2.5%," said Governor Chris Sununu. "Today's report is a reminder that our focus on growing and strengthening New Hampshire's jobs market has positioned our economy to outperform national trends for the long haul. New Hampshire continues to buck the trends of the national economy, with a seasonally adjusted unemployment rate 1.4 percent lower than the national unemployment rate. Today's report is good news for New Hampshire taxpayers, families, and communities."
