Concord, NH – Today, following news that the New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration has awarded 276 New Hampshire businesses with Research and Development Tax Credits for the 2021 program year – the highest total number of companies ever awarded these credits in a single program year and a 20% increase from 2020 – Governor Chris Sununu issued the following statement:

“Today’s announcement that 276 New Hampshire companies – a historic high – will be awarded Research and Development Tax Credits makes clear that the Granite State is the place to be for business innovation, development, and growth,” said Governor Chris Sununu. “Coupled with New Hampshire’s low-tax, business-friendly environment, the 603 is the place to be for business!”

The Research and Development Tax Credit Program has grown from only $1 million in program funds and 71 applicants in 2008 to a current high of $7 million and 276 applicants today.
