Governor Chris Sununu Statement Ahead of Votes on HB 1492 and HB 1652
Concord, NH – Today, Governor Chris Sununu issued the following statement ahead of the New Hampshire House's votes on HB 1492, establishing a tax on the retail sale of certain electronic devices, and HB 1652 , including ski area ticket sales under the meals and rooms tax:
"The Democrats have proposed two ill-conceived bills that would tax everything from Xbox's to ski lift tickets," said Governor Chris Sununu. "The New Hampshire economy is strong, and adding more taxes that will directly hit Granite Stater's wallets is the absolute wrong approach we should be taking. I hope commonsense will prevail and these bills are voted down."
