Democrats Obstructing School Safety Funds

Concord, NH – Today, Governor Chris Sununu issued the following statement after Democrats on the Joint Legislative Fiscal Committee voted to table $256,000 in federal funds for school safety.

"It is incredibly disappointing that every Democrat on the Joint Legislative Fiscal Committee voted to table funds that would have been used to make New Hampshire schools even safer," said Governor Chris Sununu. "This fiscal item had zero cost to New Hampshire state taxpayers, and yet the Democrats decided to play politics by holding this critical funding hostage. We are leading the nation in school safety efforts, and today's action is setting a dangerous precedent."
