Governor Sununu Attends NH Army National Guard Medevac Company Deployment Ceremony

On Saturday, October 5, Governor Chris Sununu, honored members of the New Hampshire Army National Guard 238th Medevac Company ahead of their deployment to the Middle East.

Sununu, Commander in Chief of the New Hampshire National Guard, thanked members of the Company for their service.

"It's a great day of pride, and its a great day to be able to say thank you, to be able to have everyone come together,” said Gov. Sununu.

C Company has been deployed four times since the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and is one of New Hampshire's most deployed military assets. For many members of the unit, this is their third deployment. The MEDEVAC Unit has been deployed to Afghanistan, Bosnia, Guatemala, and Bosnia, while also assisting state agencies with search and rescue operations here in New Hampshire.Comp

Governor Sununu used the deployment ceremony to emphasize the State's obligation and continued commitment to provide for the families of service members while they are deployed.
