Tonight Vermont and New Hampshire combined forces to bring their constituents family medical leave with Governor Scott's and Governor Sununu's Twin State Voluntary Leave Plan. The plan will allow the two states to work together on a topic that is important to many. The aim of the Twin State Voluntary Leave Plan is to allow workers to access up to 60% of their wages for up to six weeks during which they may take time off for big life events. The plan will be voluntary, have no income tax, and give plenty of flexibility to both businesses and employees.
