CONCORD - Following the Executive Council’s unanimous votes to confirm George Copadis as Commissioner of New Hampshire Employment Security (NHES) and Jeffrey Rose as Commissioner of the Department of Resources and Economic Development (DRED) to new terms, Governor Maggie Hassan released the following statement:
“During his tenure at NHES, Commissioner Copadis has worked to support workers through some of the most difficult economic challenges that our state has faced in generations. And at DRED, Commissioner Rose has successfully led New Hampshire’s efforts to help existing businesses grow and to attract new, innovative companies to the Granite State.
“Their leadership has been critical to creating jobs and supporting workers and businesses, helping drive the unemployment rate to its lowest level since 2008. I applaud the Executive Council for reconfirming these dedicated public servants, and I look forward to continuing to work with them to build a stronger, more innovative New Hampshire.”
