CONCORD - President Obama has issued a proclamation ordering the lowering of flags on all public buildings and grounds to half-staff immediately and until sunset, Monday, December 9, in honor of the passing of former South African President Nelson Mandela.
Governor Maggie Hassan has issued the following statement:
"The world will dearly miss Nelson Mandela, a true champion for humanity. His legacy and inspiration will live on, but now is a sad moment for all who love and work for equality. I join the people of New Hampshire in sending our thoughts and prayers to the nation of South Africa and all who have been inspired by his fearless leadership."
